My trips to Ontario, Quebec, Michigan, and New York have come to an end. I might return but we will see.
The trips were EPIC. I did 2014 miles the first time and 1964 miles the second. The research is not done, it really never is!
These two trips have given me a visual memory of the places I have visited. I also have my posts for memory jogging and my journal which is more personal and detailed. I have the memory of the feel of the road, sort of like the lay of the land, the tastes, and smells. I love Canada it is beautiful and the people are helpful, pleasant and just plain nice. I also feel that I have a better understanding of the sources, archives and how to do my genealogy now. We will see.
Below you will find a Table of Content for both trips featuring the posts I have written about my journeys. I do want to say that writing posts while traveling the editing can be a challenge so if you find slight funny editorial mistakes, it happens. So be patient with me. I may do some maintenance and cleaning up. I am pretty busy getting caught up.
To find these posts, you can go to the right side of this blog and find the Archives and the box will drop down and you can pick a date, or you can use the search box to find a post. These are strictly the posts on this blog, if you want to see the posts on the Boardmans and Brown blog for that part of my trip which covers my mother’s side of the family, you will have to go there and look at the page at the top of the blog, titled: Trips to Canada: 2012 and 2014 Posts.
