Things to Ponder!
The header photo is of the Glen on the peninsula of Knoydart, in the Highlands of Scotland, I was feeling a little nostalgic for my tour of the Peninsula in May 2018. This is very remote and there are actually ruins in the distance. It must have been a hard life.
As of July 26, 2022 I have been accepted into the Mayflower Society through the Washington State Mayflower Society. As of January 2019 I have been accepted into the Daughters of the American Revolution.
It with sadness I share the loss of Ruth McDonald Flynn. She was a descendant of Duncan McDonell and Elizabeth Sauve. She died November 2, 2023 in Carmel, California after living a long and happy life. She was born in Park Rapids, Minnesota to Robert McDonald and Catherine Gray. She married John Flynn 17 February 1941 in Bovey, MN. They had three children, one of whom is a member of the Carmelite Monastery in Carmel. I had the privilege of knowing Ruth and John visiting with them on several occasions. Ruth lived to be 104 years old. Sleep peacefully cousins!
